New Books (In Trees)!

New Books (In Trees) (On Stairs).jpg

I've added some new books to the library, and thanks to my 8th period TA Sarah Colangelo, I also have a picture of these books connecting with their roots. That's a tree joke. Because paper is made of trees and... nevermind.

These books have already been added to my library and provides even more reading options for my class! If you have any suggestions for books that I should make a part of my library, consider visiting my library page and making the request!

The new books are:

  • Just After Sunset, by Stephen King. This is a collection of short stories that is at times fantastic and at other times horrible. And it includes a story about a man that puts a hit out on a cat.
  • The Assault, by Harry Mulisch. This novel traces the repercussions of a violent act in 1945 Germany that lingered in the mind of 12 year old Anton, even as he grew into an intentionally normal family man.
  • Forever, by Pete Hamill. An epic tale of a man that leaves Ireland for New York on a quest for revenge and ends up staying forever, never aging.
  • Squeeze Play, by R.J. Kaiser. A noir detective story about an ex-cop determined to bring his brother's killer to justice.
  • Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, by Ransom Riggs. An exploration of an asylum (of sorts) for outcast and especially different children is the setting for a teenage boys exploration of where he fits in.
