Interview with a "Marigolds" Character

In class you should have developed interview questions for a character from “Marigolds,” which you will now use to draft an interview with the character. Answer the questions from the character’s perspective and voice, using details from the text to develop your answers (use the language they would use when responding!) Give your questions in a logical order and ask follow-up questions where appropriate!

  1. Choose any sentence from your response. Underline the complete subject and double underline the simple subject in this sentence; write “SUBJECT” in the margin.
  2. Choose any sentence from your response. Underline the complete predicate and double underline the simple predicate (the verb) in this sentence; write “PREDICATE” in the margin.
  3. Include an example of parallel structure (parallelism)

REMEMBER TO WRITE IN THE VOICE OF YOUR CHARACTER!
