Final Draft of Short Story (Due Day of Final)

Please refer to the details of the last homework sheet (or check the calendar) for the suggestions I had previously made. For the final draft, you should:

  • Ensure that all parts of the story develop the character, conflict, or setting. Nothing else matters.
  • Avoid repetition.
  • Ensure the character, setting, and conflict details established earlier in the story pay off by the end.
  • Avoid repetition.
  • Use irony.
  • Check the rubric (page 127) to ensure you are meeting all of its expectations.

For students submitting with google forms, follow this procedure:

  • Open the short story form in Google Forms.
  • In the top right, click the More button (the three dots).
  • Click Add collaborators.
  • Under "Invite people," add wlydon@coralacademy.org
  • Click Send
