Consider how effectively the essay: addresses all aspects of the prompt; provides a specific, relevant thesis; supports the thesis with relevant evidence and detailed, explanatory commentary; demonstrates capable writing with academic vocabulary and varied sentence structure; evidences a sense of the writer’s style (the writing does not feel formulaic or forced). I encourage you also to mark the draft itself, but this is not the focus of our feedback (maybe mark only confusing areas or simple fixes).
