By Monday you must turn in a final draft of your interview narrative. This is a narrative that explores the ideas and information you received from your interview with someone with postsecondary experience. This is a final draft that represents the best work you can possibly manage. You should:
- Ensure that you include all of the details of a narrative (see SB p48)
- Carefully scrutinize the prompt (SB p61) to ensure you are considering all of the musts, cans, and cannots.
- Review the rubric (SB p62) to be certain that you are meeting the expectations by which you will be graded. I suggest you grade yourself using this after you complete a first draft. Make improvements to this initial draft based on what you missed.
Goal is to demonstrate an understanding of the elements of a narrative and use these narrative techniques to develop experiences, events, and characters with the use of original quotations.
Exemplary Work carefully uses a variety of techniques to create character, expertly integrates quotations into the narrative, and conveys a clear theme.
